Our scope

Sizing, component selection and production documentation

01 — Challenge

A conveyor designed around specific operating requirements

Based on a required surface load of 20 kg/m², a material layer of 3–5 cm, a maximum speed of 1 m/s and the space available, a suitable belt conveyor had to be designed and sized.

02 — Solution

A properly sized conveyor with complete production documentation

Using the input data, we carried out the necessary calculations and selected a standard 500 mm wide belt, rollers and a drive. The solution also included production drawings of the individual parts, an assembly drawing and DXF files for cut blanks and bent sheet metal.

03 — Approach

01

Input assessment

Processing the requirements for surface load, material layer, maximum speed and the conveyor's spatial dimensions.

02

Sizing and component selection

Carrying out the necessary calculations and selecting the belt, rollers and drive, including sourcing components from external suppliers.

03

Production documentation

Preparing production drawings, the assembly drawing and DXF files for cut blanks and bent sheet metal.

Outcome

600kg/min theoretical capacity

With the specified surface load of 20 kg/m², a 500 mm belt width and a maximum speed of 1 m/s, the theoretical conveying capacity comes to approximately 600 kg/min. The customer also received complete documentation to manufacture and assemble the conveyor in-house.
